Health IT Technical Analyst (Remote)
About The Position
The Health IT Technical Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in clinical data, supporting Medicaid and HIEA in building Medicaid solutions and meeting CMS timelines and committed implementation milestones across programs. HIEA also undertakes projects beyond Medicaid, and this role provides clinical subject-matter expertise, best-practice input, and support for requirements gathering and project design through implementation. The analyst works with HealthConnex clinical data to support HR1 work requirement exemption determinations and helps develop and refine an API that delivers relevant clinical data from HealthConnex to the client eligibility system. The role collaborates with SAS, J2, NC Medicaid teams, and other stakeholders to test data flows, resolve issues, and support moving new functionality into production. It also supports project scoping and the assessment of request feasibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health informatics, Information Science, Public Health, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in HL7, FHIR, and health information exchange standards; 3 years of experience required.
- Ability to analyze, validate, troubleshoot, and ensure clinical data accuracy; 3 years of experience required.
- Experience with clinical coding systems including SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD, CPT, and RxNorm; 2 years of experience required.
- Experience supporting HIE platforms, clinical data exchange, and integration projects; 2 years of experience required.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, test solutions, and implement new functionality; 2 years of experience required.

Responsibilities
