Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or HIM setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Health Information Technology.
RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician).
Completion of an accredited HIM program is desirable.

Responsibilities

Managing patient health records in accordance with federal and state regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies.
Supporting the accurate collection, analysis, and maintenance of health information to ensure quality patient care, legal compliance, and timely reimbursement.
