Texas Health Action (THA) is a community-informed non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to culturally affirming, quality health services in a safe and supportive environment, with expertise in serving LGBTQIA+ people and those impacted by HIV. Kind Clinic proudly serves Texas with four vibrant locations: two in Austin, one in San Antonio, and another in Dallas plus virtual care services available to all residents across Texas. Bolstered by Waterloo Counseling Center and a passionate team of over 250 dedicated employees and volunteers, THA is at the forefront of promoting healthcare equity and accessibility throughout the state. Texas Health Action is seeking a Health Information Systems Specialist who will provide technical expertise in the administration, maintenance, and optimization for our health information systems. This role involves managing electronic health records (EHRs), administering user accounts, ensuring interoperability of clinical applications, troubleshooting issues, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. The specialist will also support data reporting for both clinical and operational needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health information systems, excellent problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data security and compliance. This role reports to the Health Information Manager. This is a full-time, exempt position based in Texas. While the position offers a primarily remote work arrangement, employees must reside in Texas or be willing to relocate to Texas prior to their start date. Regular travel to Texas Health Action locations and periodic in-person work at our Austin administrative headquarters are required based on operational needs.
