About The Position
The Health Information Management (HIM) Technician supports the Health Information Management function by assembling and analyzing inpatient records and processing admissions. This includes sorting and proofing records and identifying errors. The technician also provides telephone backup as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Specialized training in an approved business or secretarial school or college.
Nice To Haves
- Specialized training in an approved Health Information Management Program.
- Previous medical record experience in a healthcare setting.
