About The Position
The Health Information Management (HIM) Technician supports the hospital’s Health Information Management function by processing inpatient records and admissions. The role includes assembling and analyzing records, sorting and proofing reports, and identifying errors. The technician also provides telephone backup as needed. This is a PRN position at PAM Health’s Tulsa LTACH.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Specialized training in an approved business or secretarial school or college.
Nice To Haves
- Specialized training in an approved Health Information Management program.
- Previous medical record experience in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assemble inpatient records.
- Analyze inpatient records.
- Process admissions, including sorting and proofing reports and identifying errors.
- Provide telephone backup as needed.
