About The Position

The HIM Tech I position is responsible for providing front-line support by answering incoming calls courteously and efficiently, offering technical assistance for MyChart accounts, and managing document workflows including faxed requests and hospital tube system deliveries. The position also assists visitors with Release of Information (ROI) requests, processes payments, and ensures the proper release of record.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Typing, telephone, and clerical skills
• Excellent manual dexterity

Nice To Haves

• One year of previous experience in a Health Information Management, Medical Records, or healthcare business office setting
• Experience with knowledge of HIPAA and State laws and regulations regarding release of medical information
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
