This role identifies providers that meet suspension criteria according to the Medical Record Completion Policy and Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations. The Health Information Management Physician Liaison supports providers by answering questions and addressing comments regarding the completion of assigned deficiencies in a timely manner, and/or routing to the appropriate persons in order to optimize physician satisfaction. This role also ensures that physician auto-populated deficiencies have been accurately assigned, performs follow-up procedures on coding work queues to ensure all records are coded in a timely manner, and provides daily reconciliation of deficiencies sent to health information management for review through the review of reports in the electronic health record.
