About The Position

The Health Information Management (HIM) Clerk is responsible for maintaining and ensuring accurate, complete, and timely medical information for HVHS patients. This role supports continuity of care, handles requests for information, and facilitates coding and billing processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficiency with computers and healthcare applications.
  • Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical record clerk experience.
  • Knowledge of medical record processes.
  • Ability to utilize the terminal digit order numbering and filing system.
