About The Position

This is an entry-level position that supports audits of vendor-imaged documents to assure that information is indexed under the correct patient under the prescribed indexing scheme and image quality meets departmental/vendor agreed-upon standards. The role involves converting documents to text images and importing images into the current scanning application. Additionally, the analyst will review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations, and enter deficiencies into the chart tracking computer system. (HIM=Health Information Management). The role also analyzes each patient health record, communicates with customers, and performs area-specific support/technical activities. Other duties may be assigned in addition to the primary responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Must successfully pass AHIMA approved Medical Terminology CBL course within 12 months of hire date.
  • No experience required.
  • No licensure required.
