About The Position

With minimal supervision, provide a variety of analysis and support functions including troubleshooting, user training, assistance and orientation, developing, testing and implementing new or upgraded applications, and ensuring data integrity of systems and integration with other applications across Children's. Work closely with customers, leadership, and other stakeholders to identify needs, develop recommended approaches, and to ensure successful operation of systems to meet departmental and organizational needs. In addition, provide Tier 1-2 phone support with pertinent information, timely resolution, and/or appropriate escalation for information technology issues experienced by Children's staff and customers. Communicates with Seattle Children's staff and affiliate organizations to ensure accuracy of information and coordinate MPI changes across the enterprise. While this role is hybrid, the candidate must be physically based in WA State.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university OR at least two years’ college coursework in the Medical/Health Record, Health Information Technology, Health Information Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience.
  • Must be physically based in WA State.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical records or information technology.
  • Previous experience with patient medical records and computerized records in either Epic or Cerner.
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) OR ability to obtain within six (6) months of transfer/hire.
