About The Position

Care Alliance Health Center is seeking a Health Informatics Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, training, and optimization of our electronic health record system. At Care Alliance, our mission is to provide exceptional, accessible, and compassionate healthcare for all. In this role, you will help ensure our systems, workflows, and data support high-quality care, informed decision-making, and strong operational performance. The Health Informatics Specialist partners with clinical, operational, and IT teams to improve EHR workflows, strengthen data integrity, support staff training, and enhance how technology is used across the organization. This position plays an important role in helping staff confidently use the EHR, improving documentation quality, supporting reporting needs, and identifying opportunities to improve care delivery and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting clinical systems or EHR platforms
  • Experience delivering training
  • Ability to travel between sites

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Epic reporting tools, including SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, Radar dashboards, or similar tools
  • EHR Support Analyst Certification preferred
  • Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center or community health center setting
  • Experience supporting UDS reporting and HRSA compliance requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver role-based EHR training for clinical and non-clinical staff, including providers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative teams.
  • Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training to support staff confidence and proficiency in system use.
  • Create and maintain training materials, job aids, and workflow guides.
  • Provide individualized coaching and support to improve documentation quality and system utilization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for EHR workflows and functionality.
  • Evaluate and improve clinical and operational workflows within the EHR.
  • Partner with leadership to standardize documentation tools such as templates, order sets, and smart phrases.
  • Support system updates, enhancements, and new functionality implementation.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support clinical operations and leadership decision-making.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements, including HRSA, UDS, and quality measures.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide actionable insights to support performance improvement and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to monitor clinical performance and documentation accuracy.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, operations, IT, and external partners.
  • Troubleshoot EHR-related issues and coordinate resolution with vendors as needed.
