The University of Miami Health System (“UHealth”) IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Epic Analyst 3 – Physician Informatics. The Epic Analyst 3 – Physician Informatics initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues. This role involves analyzing, designing, and building workflows across clinical spaces (Ambulatory, Inpatient, Surgical), incorporating research and evidence-based knowledge, and collaborating with end users, clinical leaders, and the Chief Medical Informatics Officer in an agile fashion to enhance Epic. The analyst will create a communications strategy for workflow design, work with vendors on system solutions, and collaborate with leaders on program expansion. The role also includes designing, developing, and modifying the electronic health record to establish standards for clinical documentation and improve patient care outcomes, developing end-user support for workflow optimization and changes, and providing critical analysis and evaluation of Epic workflow. Collaboration with other Epic Application teams to design and develop integrated Epic workflow is also a key function. A 3-5 days per week on-site presence is required.
