Parker Health and Rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Parker, Indiana is searching for an experienced and licensed skilled facility Administrator to lead a wonderful group of professional caregivers. Requirements

  • Holding a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure as a Health Facility Administrator (HFA) in the state of employment.
  • If licensed as an Administrator by another state, be willing to apply for temporary licensure in the state and pass the exam.
  • Possess administrative, interpersonal and managerial skills.
  • Passion for organizing and creating a positive atmosphere.
  • Passion for implementing activities and programs of all kinds.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, handle stressful situations and remain calm during emergencies.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical processing and understand complicated budgets.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within approved HIPAA Compliance and employee privacy regulations.
  • Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and a willingness to handle residents based on their maturity and physical level.
  • Ability to adhere to professional code of ethics and behave morally in and outside the facility.
  • Knowledge on the use of computers, e-mail accounts, software programs such as Word/Excel and minor office machines such as faxes/copiers.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a leadership or a supervisory capacity within a nursing home or a long-term care organization.
  • Experience maximizing revenues through private pay resources, Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, organization, management, and instrumental leadership to this facility within the guidelines of TLC policies and adherence to all local, state and federal regulations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to all operational departments within the facility.
  • Conduct all job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set forth in TLC Management’s Code of Business Conduct and applicable federal/state laws and professional standards.
  • Be familiar with all operational details of the center and provide direction to each department head, responding to their needs, providing direction, and striving to upgrade their role.
  • Function as the leader and final decision maker for the facility’s department heads and/or supervisory team while encouraging collaborative discussions.
  • Work in collaboration with the DON and Nursing Leadership staff to ensure quality patient care is delivered appropriately, timely, and safely.
  • Strive to achieve compliance with the organization’s goal to achieve zero in-house acquired wounds through daily monitoring of skin care.
  • Practice motivational leadership techniques and set an example of integrity and work ethic, making decisions in the best interest of the facility.
  • Develop and implement a plan of correction as a result of the facility’s annual family satisfaction survey.
  • Develop the management team through compassion and accountability.
  • Perform annual, introductory, transfer and periodic performance monitoring for all direct reports, including documenting evaluations, verbal counseling, and disciplinary action.
  • Maintain records, implement systems, and ensure overall compliance with administrative requirements of TLC management.
  • Utilize financial reports, create and execute facility budgets.
  • Engage in personal communications with residents, families, personnel, physicians, medical establishments, and outside agencies.
