About The Position

CAMBA is a community organization that offers over 180 integrated programs in Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. CAMBA's Opioid Overdose Prevention Program aims to increase access to naloxone, a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses. This program serves communities with high rates of opioid overdoses and provides education and naloxone kits to individuals at risk of overdose, as well as their families and friends.

Requirements

Sufficient education and technical expertise to comprehend written and oral instructions (work orders).
Basic math skills to accomplish maintenance tasks.
Ability to document accomplished tasks.
One (1) year of relevant experience.
Good written & verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Experience with community outreach and engagement.
Experience working in diverse settings.

Nice To Haves

Experience preferably in a mid-sized (250+ employees) organization.

Responsibilities

Complete NYC DOHMH Training of Dispensers (TOD).
Conduct outreach activities at areas where drug users congregate.
Educate community members on the use of naloxone in reversing an opioid overdose.
Dispense naloxone kits to substance users and their families, friends, and loved ones.
Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
Create and maintain documentation of all activities.
May prepare marketing materials for program.
Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol and Procedures.
Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy policies.
Tasks maybe modified, expanded, and/or assigned over time.
