About The Position

Will work remotely on a part-time (20 hours/week) basis providing health education, curriculum development, and instructional design support to a Brain Health team. The position will help translate evidence-based information on brain health and healthy aging into engaging, accessible educational materials and programs for consumers, community organizations, and other audiences.

Requirements

Master’s degree in health education, public health, instructional design, curriculum and instruction, adult education, health communication, or a related field.
Experience developing health education, curriculum, training, or instructional materials for adult audiences.
Demonstrated ability to translate technical or scientific information into clear, engaging, and actionable educational content.
Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, health literacy, and educational best practices.
Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing educational materials related to healthy aging, brain health, chronic disease prevention, caregiving, or other health topics.
Experience designing curricula or toolkits for community-based organizations, nonprofits, public health agencies, or healthcare organizations.
Experience developing materials for diverse audiences and community settings.
Experience with evaluation of educational programs or development of learning assessments.

Responsibilities

Develop educational materials, curricula, toolkits, facilitator guides, presentations, worksheets, activities, and other resources focused on brain health, healthy aging, and related health topics.
Translate scientific and public health evidence into practical, understandable, and actionable educational content for nontechnical audiences.
Apply principles of adult learning, health education, instructional design, and behavior change to the development of educational resources.
Work with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives, key messages, instructional approaches, and appropriate activities for different audiences.
Adapt educational content for use in a variety of settings, including community organizations, faith-based organizations, workshops, virtual programs, and self-guided learning.
Review existing educational materials and recommend improvements to content, structure, usability, readability, and audience engagement.
Develop facilitator instructions, discussion guides, exercises, and implementation resources that enable organizations and community leaders to deliver educational programming effectively.
Support development of evaluation approaches, participant feedback tools, and other methods for assessing educational materials and programs.
Help ensure educational materials reflect current evidence, health literacy best practices, accessibility principles, and appropriate cultural considerations.
Provide additional health education, instructional design, and content development support for Brain Health projects as needed.
