About The Position

The HCT II serves as a role model and mentor to other HCT I’s throughout the facility and provides quality care to patients on the units. As a multidisciplinary care team, the HCT II practices therapeutic principles when providing care to the patients they serve. The HCT II works closely with the Nurse clinician Supervisor and Nurse Clinicians in developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive plan to meet the educational needs of HCT I’s. The HCT II acts as a role model and builds therapeutic and meaningful relationships between teammates and patients to facilitate patient success. Nursing care is performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development diploma and two years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must successfully pass all required parts of CPI’s Non-violent Crisis Intervention.
  • As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
  • As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of health care, including sanitation, personal hygiene, and safety.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain records, charts, and reports.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions in caring for physically and emotionally ill people.
