About The Position

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking multiple Health Care Technician II positions to function as a Therapeutic Support Specialist II (TSS II) at Central Regional Hospital (CRH) on the Screening and Admissions Unit (SAU). SAU is responsible for coordinating the screening and admission process for all prospective patients, ensuring compliance with EMTALA guidelines. This role offers a mission-driven environment where employees can make a real impact by providing compassionate, whole-person care for individuals with complex mental health, substance use, developmental, and neuro-medical needs.

Requirements

Must be NA I Certified (C.N.A.).
Must obtain notary within one year.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to obtain CPI Applied Physical Skills (APS) and CPR within 60 days.
High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.

Responsibilities
