As a Health Care Surveyor with the Department of Health, you will play an important part in ensuring that intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and persons with other related conditions, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, and community mental health centers for Medicaid or Medicare certification meet required standards. This position gives you the chance to use strong analytical and communication skills in real world settings. You will help evaluate safety, quality, and compliance in support of federal and state regulations. You may be assigned to function independently, with a partner, as a member of a team, or as the designated team coordinator during on-site surveys. Travel will be required within the counties of Berks, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia. Additionally, you may be required to travel to other counties based on operational needs.
