About The Position

Responsible to assist in the oversight of Health-Career training programs and to take an active role in assisting with the facilitation of the EMT Training Program. This is a part- time role. Requires a minimum of 26 hours a week.

Requirements

  • Current EMT Certification (good standing) required.
  • High School Diploma required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of Heath Career Education oversight/facilitation preferred along with experience in the education of young adults.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data
  • Responsible to assist in the oversight and facilitation of Healthcare related training programs
  • Takes an active role to assist in the facilitation of the EMT training program
  • Ensures that Health-Career training programs meet all federal and state requirements
  • Ensures each student receives comprehensive and individualized case management that promotes quality career technical training, industry-recognized credential attainment and placement in a quality job, apprenticeship, Advanced Training or postsecondary education in all Health-Career training programs.
  • Works with the Center’s Workforce Council to align the Center’s training with local workforce demands and to ensure students receive industry-relevant training
  • Ensures all Health-Career technical training programs and career transition areas are represented by employers who meet with students on Center to provide career guidance and placement opportunities
  • Develops Center-beneficial linkages within the community for education, employment, Career Technical Training. Promotes a positive image of the Center and Job Corps and establishes meaningful relationships with elected officials
  • Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH
  • Provides quality programs and pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services with industry-recognized training and credentials.
  • Ensures that training areas organized, clean, safe and conducive to student learning.
  • Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to CTTM/Company when requested
  • Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected
  • Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective services are provided to students
  • Accepts direction and supervision from the Career Technical Training Manager to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions if needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
