About The Position
The Health Care Assistant (HCA) provides outstanding patient care in a primary care/medical home model environment. The role includes direct patient care and support for care teams through effective use of health information technology and reports, timely administrative support, care loop completion, and documentation. These activities enable other care team members to practice at the top of their license. The HCA communicates effectively, displays responsible behaviors, and functions as a member of the healthcare team. When performing clinical tasks during patient care, the HCA must demonstrate competency in all related skills and work under the direct supervision and authority of the Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner.
Requirements
- Graduation from a qualified Medical Assistant program.
- Recent experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Courteous and cooperative attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
- Experience with medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care.
