About The Position

Duluth Public Schools is seeking an individual to provide health services, maintain records, and promote the health and well-being of students at Lincoln Park Middle School. This is a long-term substitute position.

Requirements

• A minimum of a one-year certificate in licensed practical nursing from a college or technical school.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• First Aid certification.
• CPR certification.
• General knowledge of assessing injuries and illnesses.
• General knowledge of health issues such as immunizations, diabetes, blood-borne pathogens, asthma, seizures, allergies, and so forth.
• Knowledge of immunization schedules and laws.
• General knowledge of administering medications such as Epi-pens, Insulin pens, nebulizers, and so forth.
• Familiarity with database programs for entering health records.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Ability to be flexible and work independently.
