About The Position

We are seeking a Health and Wellness Director who leads with heart, integrity, and expertise. In this role, you’ll ensure every resident receives compassionate, person-centered care while inspiring and supporting our wellness team to deliver their best each day.

Requirements

  • RN or LPN License: Active, valid license for the State of NE.
  • Minimum 1 year working with seniors; understanding of senior health needs is essential.
  • At least 2 years leading a team.
  • Strong knowledge of medications, dosages, and potential side effects.
  • Integrity, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and commitment to fostering independence and dignity.
  • Comfortable using essential software tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and serve as Manager on Duty as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Be visible, engage with residents, and support staff in daily care activities.
  • Develop and implement personalized service plans in line with physician orders and resident needs.
  • Serve as the key liaison between residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate records and service plans to meet state regulations.
  • Provide direct care when needed and supervise nursing services to ensure safety and quality.
  • Train, mentor, and guide wellness staff; conduct in-services and promote professional growth.
  • Evaluate prospective residents’ care needs and suitability for the community.
  • Ensure accurate and safe management of medications.
  • Respond promptly to resident emergencies with proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Identify at-risk residents and implement proactive safety plans.
  • Lead programs promoting health, education, and preventive care to enhance residents’ quality of life.
