Our Health and Welfare Benefits Representatives are key to our success by liaising between the administrative office, local unions, contributing employers and participants to educate them regarding plan provisions and changes. We see this role as a “trainer” or a “teacher” in helping our participants understand the value of the benefits they rightfully have earned.

Requirements

Provide superior customer service, every day
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience in the benefits and/or Human Resources field
Excellent verbal/written communication
Bilingual Spanish language skills required
Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

Explain plan eligibility, benefits, and participation requirements to participants and stakeholders.
Assist participants with benefit applications, claims, appeals, and eligibility questions.
Review denied claims and gather documentation to support accurate claim decisions.
Respond to participant inquiries by phone, email, and in person with professional customer service.
Conduct meetings and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and consistent support.
Complete special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
