About The Position

We believe exceptional safety performance and exceptional operational performance go hand in hand, and we're looking for a talented safety professional to help us continue raising the bar. As a trusted partner to the business, you will maintain and continuously improve Excel Homes' COR-certified Health & Safety Management System. You will partner with operational leaders to ensure safety is integrated into how work gets done. You will conduct site inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and compliance reviews. You will lead incident investigations and identify practical solutions that prevent recurrence. You will coach, mentor, and support employees, supervisors, and trade partners. You will support COR audits, Joint Health & Safety Committee activities, and regulatory compliance. You will provide guidance on WCB claims management, return-to-work planning, and modified work programs. You will monitor legislative changes and recommend continuous improvements. You will maintain a strong field presence across Alberta, including periodic travel to Edmonton.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience
  • Construction industry experience
  • CRSP, NCSO, equivalent designation or working towards
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta OH&S legislation
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver's abstract
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills

  • Residential construction experience

  • Experience supporting WCB and return-to-work programs
