The Health and Safety Specialist role is based in Carrollton, Texas (onsite) and is part of a collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented team focused on achieving excellence and making a meaningful impact.

Requirements

Associate degree or higher with five or more years of environmental, health, and safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration General Industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience implementing and maintaining site-wide environmental, health, and safety programs and management systems.
Proven ability to lead initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive a strong safety culture.
Strong problem-solving skills, including experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience delivering training programs and engaging employees in safety initiatives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual Spanish is a strong plus.
Experience with Process Safety Management programs in manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.
Experience with safety management systems or incident tracking tools and structured root cause analysis methods.

Responsibilities

Support implementation and enforcement of site environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
Partner with the site Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to maintain systems aligned with Occupational Safety and Health Administration General Industry regulations and International Organization for Standardization 14001 standards.
Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance environmental, health, and safety performance across the facility.
Conduct and support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action implementation.
Provide daily in-plant guidance to operations, maintenance, contractors, and technical teams to ensure safe work execution.
Coordinate field audits and safety observations, ensuring findings are tracked and resolved through corrective actions.
Deliver and improve environmental, health, and safety training programs to strengthen employee awareness and capability.
Maintain accurate records and reporting systems for environmental, health, and safety metrics and regulatory compliance.
Support emergency preparedness programs, including maintaining and updating emergency response plans and participating in response teams.
