We are seeking a Health and Safety Professional - Programs who will develop, manage, and evaluate the implementation of Industrial Hygiene (IH) related worker safety and health (WSH) programs. This person will also provide consultation/mentoring for the purpose of improving the integration and effectiveness of the WSH Management System across the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). ORNL is the largest U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and applied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems in energy and security. Our diverse capabilities span a broad spectrum of scientific and engineering disciplines, enabling the Laboratory to explore fundamental science challenges and to carry out the research needed to accelerate the delivery of solutions to the marketplace. This position involves being part of a team that produces and manages IH and H&S programs and procedures that allow research scientists to perform cutting-edge science in a safe and compliant manner. This position resides in the Industrial Hygiene Programs Team in the Health and Safety Technical Services Group of the Safety and Operations Services Division, at ORNL.
