About The Position

The Health and Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Trust’s health and safety strategy, management system and governance framework. The role is responsible for ensuring risks to employees, residents, contractors, visitors and others affected by the Trust’s activities are effectively identified, managed and monitored.

The Trust is a housing provider managing more than 5,000 homes across East Cheshire and the High Peak. The position is agile between home and office, with a requirement to work at the office and attend sites as needed each week. The role is permanent and full time, at 37 hours per week.

Requirements

• Previous experience managing health and safety within a complex, multi-site organisation.
• A recognised health and safety management qualification, such as the NEBOSH Diploma (or nearing completion), or a recognised equivalent.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 management systems.
• Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH), or equivalent recognised professional status.
• A full driving licence and access to a car.
• Values that align with the Trust’s values.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in social housing, property, construction, facilities management or a similarly regulated environment is described as ideal.
