About The Position

Hy-Tech Drilling is seeking a Health & Safety Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Department. This role involves supporting Health, Safety, and Training programs across the organization, coordinating employee orientations and training records, maintaining employee files and databases, and assisting with incident response processes. The position will also involve organizing training programs, preparing meeting minutes, monitoring safety reports, developing training materials, and managing departmental communications. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and provide administrative support to the Health, Safety, and Training teams.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of administrative experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including experience with spreadsheets, email, databases, and word processing software.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and provide a current Driver’s Abstract annually.

Responsibilities

  • Support Health, Safety, and Training programs across the organization.
  • Coordinate employee orientations, training records, and competency tracking.
  • Maintain employee files, databases, and safety documentation.
  • Assist with incident response processes and Health & Safety initiatives.
  • Organize and support internal and external training programs and events.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, track action items, and provide administrative support to committees.
  • Monitor and process safety reports, audits, hazard identifications, and corrective actions.
  • Develop, update, and distribute training materials, presentations, field resources, and employee communications.
  • Compile and analyze safety and training data to support reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Manage correspondence, document filing, and departmental communications.
  • Support the creation of company presentations, newsletters, and other internal communications.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, management systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Health, Safety, and Training teams, including occasional after-hours and weekend coverage.
