About The Position
The main purpose of this full-time position will be to assist in the health care of clients in clinical services, including reproductive health, STI, PrEP, HIV testing, and Adult/Child Immunization services.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
- Current certificate as a Nursing Assistant from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
- Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle).
- Successful completion of training and current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (if required).
- Successful completion of training and current certification in basic first aid (if required).
Nice To Haves
- Applicants may substitute experience assisting in the health care of clients in a health setting on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.
- Persons appointed to a position in this classification without certification as a Nursing Assistant must successfully complete a Board of Nursing approved nursing assistant training program and receive certification as a Nursing Assistant within sixty days from date of hire prior to performing delegated nursing tasks.
