This is an extra duty position for a Head Wrestling Coach at Harrison High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The primary function is to develop and implement an exemplary athletic program that provides the highest quality education and growth opportunities for every student athlete. The role involves ensuring compliance with all school policies, working cooperatively with staff, relating positively to parents and community, demonstrating professional growth, completing records and reports accurately, accepting responsibilities beyond the team setting, assuming responsibility for care of materials, equipment, and facilities, and ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment. It also includes fostering positive interactions among student-athletes, building supportive relationships, demonstrating enthusiasm for coaching and learning, promoting self-direction and self-motivation in students, and creating clearly defined standards of behavior and academic performance. The coach must exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the sport, adapt instruction to individual needs, develop and sustain an organized athletic program with long-term planning, employ diverse strategies and resources, clearly convey fundamental coaching expectations, utilize appropriate coaching techniques, and maintain an effective system for monitoring student progress.
