About The Position

Lipscomb Academy is seeking a passionate and motivated Head Wrestling Coach to build, launch, and lead its high school wrestling team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can establish a team culture and grow a competitive program from the ground up in a manner consistent with the mission of Lipscomb Academy.

Responsibilities

• Launch and build Lipscomb Academy’s wrestling program, including equipment and facility setup.
• Plan and conduct daily practices focused on technique, conditioning, and safety.
• Develop athletes of all experience levels, with an emphasis on fundamentals.
• Manage team logistics, including rosters, schedules, and state association requirements.
• Supervise athletes at practices, home meets, and away tournaments.
• Communicate regularly with parents, the Athletic Director, and school administration.
• Ensure compliance with state athletic association rules and safety guidelines.
• Model Christ-like behavior and encourage student wrestlers to demonstrate integrity, respect, humility, service, and sportsmanship in alignment with Lipscomb Academy’s mission.
