Gallaudet University is seeking a Head Volleyball Coach to manage and oversee the Men's Volleyball program. Responsibilities include developing player conduct rules, organizing event schedules, managing the program budget, and coordinating with other Division III colleges. The coach will also serve as an advocate for student-athletes, coaches, and staff, acting as a role model and resource. This includes recruiting and hiring personnel, monitoring gender equity, and reviewing the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act Report. The position involves supervising student workers, ensuring compliance with NCAA and Title IX policies, and assisting with budget records. The coach will manage scheduling and logistics, uphold the integrity of the University and its athletic programs, and monitor academic standards in collaboration with various university departments. They will also work with the Sports Information team for reporting and ensure institutional compliance with NCAA and UEC policies. The role requires maintaining positive working relationships, demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and serving as a mandatory reporter under Title IX. Safety in the workplace is a collective responsibility, and the coach must adhere to safety procedures and report any hazards.
