About The Position
The Head Volleyball Coach at Lorna Byrne Middle School will be responsible for building and overseeing all facets of the volleyball program. This role requires a strong working knowledge of volleyball to foster student-athlete growth and program development within the TRSD. The coach will serve as a role model, emphasizing a strong work ethic, providing academic support, and building character. Effective organization in practice planning and clear communication with players, coaches, parents, and administration are essential. The coach will implement program standards and procedures aligned with the “Building Character through Sport” philosophy.
Requirements
- NFHS Certification
- First Aid Card (CPR and AED trained)
- District fingerprinting /Criminal check
- Completion of all OSAA Certifications
- Completion of ODE Steroid Test
- Completion of all School District paperwork
- Completion of Safe Schools trainings

Responsibilities
- Build successful volleyball program and oversee all facets of the program
- Be a role model for middle school student athletes.
- Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports by encouraging athletes to compete in winter and spring programs.
- Monitor the academic progress and attendance of the volleyball players.
- Lead volleyball coaches and players in the support of other teams and events.
