About The Position
Propel Schools is seeking an Head Varsity Track Coach for the 26-27 season starting this spring at Propel Andrew Street High School, Propel Braddock Hills High School, and Propel Montour High School.
Requirements
- Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience
- Must possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- A commitment to the Propel Habits
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
Nice To Haves
- Student-athlete experience on the high school and/or intercollegiate level
- Prior high school coaching experience
- USATF certification
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for assembling coaching staff
- Responsibility for supporting the Varsity program with the assistant coach, athletic director and other coaching staff
- Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
- Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
Benefits
- Seasonal stipend of $3,000 (prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season)
