About The Position

The Head Tennis Professional role requires a candidate with 5-10 years of experience instructing all skill levels, preferably in a luxury club or resort setting. The ideal candidate will have playing experience at the college or professional level and possess a self-motivated attitude with the ability to demonstrate a friendly and hospitable demeanor in a high-pressure, fast-paced outdoor environment.

Requirements

5-10 years instructing all skill levels in a luxury club or resort setting.
Playing experience at the college or professional level.
Ability to provide excellent customer service to resort guests and members.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in uncertain conditions.
Ability to play tennis in multiple weather scenarios.
Ability to maintain control in emergency situations.
CPR and Basic First Aid certification required.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitate and organize club events for members, conference groups and social guests.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with members while representing the TBR mission, vision and values.
Plan, organize, and execute team league play, championship tournaments, and group programs.
Provide operational experience with hydrogrid clay courts.
Oversee scheduling of professionals alongside DORS.
Work closely with racquets professionals, including discipline and counseling.
Attend and co-facilitate departmental meetings.
Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc., to the security department.
Attend all mandatory meetings.
Provide general public assistance, instruction, and/or guidance for guests.
Keep work area neat and organized.
Ensure overall upkeep of the tennis area and promptly coordinate any necessary repair or maintenance needs.
Maintain inventory of equipment and report needs to DORS.
Lead communications with team captains alongside the Director of Racquet Sports.
Prepare reports on program performance and feedback as requested.
Complete all other duties as assigned by the Director of Racquet Sports.
