About The Position

The Head Teacher position is a Full-Time, Exempt (Salaried) role with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. This role involves creating and overseeing student and classroom schedules, providing training to instructors, ensuring accurate data collection, modeling ABA processes, and communicating with the leadership team and parents. Additional clinical responsibilities include providing behavior support, running direct teaching sessions, assisting with program modification, preparing classroom curriculum and materials, maintaining inventory, leading classroom activities, and assisting with behavior plan implementation and reporting.

Requirements

  • Have and maintain RBT Certification or be eligible to receive RBT Certification within 3 month of hire
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in ABA or with individuals with disabilities
  • 6 months or more longevity with the company or exceptional experience
  • Obtain and maintain BLS Certification
  • Obtain and maintain Safety Care certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with technology
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Creating and overseeing student and classroom schedules as well as related service schedules
  • Providing frequent training to instructors assigned to their classrooms
  • Ensuring accurate data collection of instructors as well as inputting data into a data tracking system
  • Correctly uses and models ABA processes, strategies, and Alpine practices
  • Provides feedback and insight to the leadership team regarding the student’s needs and changes in behavior as observed in the classroom
  • Communicating with the leadership team for instructor training needs and performance issues
  • Communicating with parents about day-to-day activities as well as incidents that occur in a timely manner
  • Protects the health and safety of clients and fellow employees by reporting all critical incidents and potential risks and following all health and safety procedures
  • Providing behavior support during student crisis
  • Running direct teaching sessions as needed
  • Assisted in program modification directed by the clinical supervisor and school director as needed
  • Ensuring classroom curriculum is prepped and ready, as well as individual materials and data sheets for clients' goals
  • Regular inventory and maintenance/cleaning of materials and toys
  • Assist in case reviews during the new hire training process as well as providing ongoing updates to programming
  • Lead classroom activities
  • Assist in behavior plan implementation, development, and progress reporting
  • Completes additional duties as assigned
