About The Position

The Teacher Aide is a member of the classroom team and helps plan and initiate meaningful learning activities for Head Start children ages 3–5. The Teacher Aide assists the teacher with classroom activities, maintaining the classroom environment, and supervising children. The role may also include assisting with planning, record keeping, and other classroom-related duties. This is a 10-month position running August through June.

Requirements

• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential; an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is also acceptable.
• Must be able to work at any center, regardless of location.
• Must obtain Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and insured automobile.
• Must obtain a physical and TB skin test and pass all criminal history background checks and E-Verify.

Nice To Haves

• Three months of experience working with children ages 3–5.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities
