The Head Start Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a curriculum that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of children. This role involves preparing daily lesson plans aligned with Head Start educational guidelines, using diverse teaching techniques, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The teacher will conduct regular assessments, observe and document children's development, and develop individualized educational plans (IEPs) for children with special needs in collaboration with support staff and parents. Parent and family engagement is a key aspect, requiring regular communication, encouraging parent participation, and conducting conferences and home visits. The teacher will also create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment, ensuring health, safety, and nutritional requirements are met. Collaboration with other Head Start staff and ongoing professional development are essential. This role also involves maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with all Head Start regulations and licensing requirements.
