About The Position
This role involves assisting the Head Start Teacher in a classroom setting, supporting the educational and developmental needs of young children. The position requires good communication skills and the ability to manage the demands of working with energetic small children. Duties may also include extracurricular responsibilities as assigned by the campus administrator.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Texas Educational Aide Certificate upon hire.
- Good communication skills with both students and adults.
- Possess physical strength to work with energetically small children.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree or 48 hours of college coursework.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Start Teacher in classroom activities.
- Communicate effectively with students and adults.
- Perform assigned extracurricular duties such as bus or hall monitoring.
