As part of Jefferson County’s Head Start department, the Head Start Site Aide is responsible for providing flexible classroom, kitchen, and operational support across Jefferson County Head Start sites to ensure continuity of services, safe learning environments, and smooth daily operations. This position supports daily staffing coverage needs across five program sites and assists with classroom routines, food service support, site cleanliness, inventory support, and operational readiness. Works closely with teaching, operations, and kitchen staff to support children, families, and program services. Head Start is a no cost, all-inclusive, child-focused, and family-centered early-childhood program for children ages 0-5. A range of individualized services in the areas of education, early childhood development, medical, dental, mental health, nutrition, family support, and parent education.
