The Head Start Quality Coordinator? Monitor? at CHCCAA plays a crucial role in advancing our mission to expand opportunities and build self-sufficiency for our community members. This position has responsibility for ensuring program compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and other regulatory requirements by conducting regular site visits, monitoring classroom quality, and providing recommendations for improvement. This role supports continuous quality improvement by assessing program effectiveness, analyzing monitoring data, identifying areas for enhancement, and collaborating with staff to maintain high standards of service for children and families. Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Data Analytics, Social Services, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, program compliance, quality monitoring, or data analysis within Head Start or a similar setting
  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and state childcare regulations
  • Strong observational and assessment skills
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, ChildPlus, or similar systems
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in database systems and Microsoft Office Applications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine classroom and site visits to assess compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing, and agency policies.
  • Utilize monitoring tools and checklists to evaluate program quality, safety, and service delivery.
  • Document findings, provide feedback to staff, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist with preparation for external monitoring reviews and audits.
  • Collect and analyze monitoring data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for program improvement.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing compliance findings and program performance.
  • Use data insights to support decision-making and inform quality improvement strategies.
  • Track corrective action plans and measure the impact of implemented improvements.
  • Work closely with teachers, site managers, and leadership to enhance program quality.
  • Provide training and coaching to staff on compliance, policies, quality standards, and data utilization.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and communicate updates to program staff.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning efforts.
