About The Position

Under the direction of the Care Coordinator Supervisor, the Care Coordinator will work with clients to develop care plans, connecting clients to needed services, and following up with clients and providers to assess progress toward client goals. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years working in a Head Start environment required.
• Proficient with relevant Google Suite software
• Strong communication (i.e., verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to problem-solve
• Adaptable to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details
• Self-directed and able to meet deadlines
• Clean driving record
• Dependable with good attendance

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 3 years of administrative and/or logistics coordination experience within an education or a social services environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the schedules and delivery of services as a coordinator for Head Start partners, connecting them to needed Head Start materials and resources, with team members serving as a liaison between Head Start partners and Head Start comprehensive teams.
• Maintain customer service protocol and assist with internal trainings
• Support development of internal capacity for child care business functions such as utilization of business automation tools, human resource services, family support services, professional development, and technical assistance by providing on-site technical assistance and coaching.
• Assist with development of performance metrics; assist with data collection to measure impact ( (i.e. Child Plus and/or ProCare).
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion, confidentiality, and objectivity.
• Ability to maintain organized, accurate, and easily accessible records.
• Assist with recruitment, vetting, and onboarding of new Child Care partners.
• Assist with meetings (e.g., scheduling, creation of agendas, minutes, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cooperatively and provide necessary support to all team members, including internal communications to ensure all programs across Porter - Leath.
• Complete, review, and/or submit monthly reports as required by leadership.
• Represent Porter-Leath and/or Early Childhood department at local community forums, groups at a national, state, and local level for purposes of advocacy, education, collaboration, networking, and information sharing.
• Attend local, regional and national educational workshops to stay abreast of trends and maintain professional development.
• Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
• Implement shared services and Head Start best practices with partner centers
• Attend regular Head Start meetings and trainings to better support Head Start partners
• Work closely with the Director to develop and support administrative systems according to the needs of the center pertaining to organizational growth, quality programming, and requirements from our licensing bodies.
• Skilled in building cooperative relationships with community organizations and individuals from all backgrounds.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload and conflicting deadlines effectively, independently prioritizing tasks under pressure.
• Work with the Director to develop and support strategies to bolster program quality and operational efficiency of the partner center.
• Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for effective engagement with diverse individuals and groups.
• Possess the ability to build trusting, respectful partnerships with individuals and families, believing in their potential for growth. Skilled at setting professional boundaries and intervening appropriately to effectively address staff and parent needs.
• Help with onboarding and data entry for child care management software.
• Support the following systems according to the needs of the center and our licensing bodies, including Head Start regulations.
• File management including cloud-based systems
