Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer-savvy with solid organizational skills
A team player to build trusting relationships with families
Knowledgeable about child development and eager to apply best practices
Problem-solving comes easily, and you handle challenges with grace
Current Home Visiting CDA, OR Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Services or related degree
CPR and First Aid Certification (or the willingness to obtain within 90 days)

Responsibilities

Observe and evaluate infant and toddler's progress to prepare the children for school
Working with families to set and reach their goals while providing parenting education
Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records
Partner with parents to inspire active participation of the children
Complete educational and health screenings, and rescreens, within the Head Start Performance Standards
Assist with recruitment efforts to connect more families to the Head Start program
