About The Position

Head Start has an opening for a part-time Cook position working 30 hours a week. This role is responsible for maintaining sanitation standards, safety, preparing and storing food, maintaining accurate records for food purchases and supplies, serving meals and snacks in a family-style setting, participating in staff meetings, and staff development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willing to obtain ServSafe Certification within six months of hire
• Meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations
• Meet Head Start Standards of Conduct
• Meet federal and state criminal history requirements
• Pass sex offender registry checks
• Pass drug screen
• Pass physical
• Complete an annual T.B. test

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with food preparation
• Ability to learn and implement food programs, if necessary
