Head Start of Baltimore City is a child and family development program serving nearly 500 low-income families in west, south and southwest Baltimore City. The program aims to prepare children for kindergarten and ensure their success in school and later in life. Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Head Start of Baltimore City is seeking a Head Start Assistant Teacher to assist the teacher in various aspects of child and family development. This includes supporting school readiness goals, managing the classroom to create a stimulating and nurturing environment, establishing a safe and healthy learning space, promoting social, physical, and intellectual competence through positive guidance and intentional learning experiences, and building positive relationships with families. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM. Site placement decisions are finalized during the hiring process based on program needs.
