About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Athletics invites applications for the position of Head Softball Coach. The successful candidate will assist the Athletic Director with all phases of a Division 1 intercollegiate Softball program including instruction and training of student-athletes in on-field operations, physical and mental player development, motivation, mentorship, instilling disciplines and developing technical skills through quality practice and excellent communication. The successful candidate is responsible for working with administrative staff regarding overseeing all recruiting efforts, scheduling of practice, training, competition, equipment, including uniforms, travel arrangements, budget management, meal accommodations, supervision and evaluation of assistant coaches, fundraising, speaking engagements, short and long term planning, and upholding the departmental university mission statements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
A minimum of five years of coaching experience
At least one of the five years of coaching experience must be at the collegiate level or equivalent

Responsibilities

Assist the Athletic Director with all phases of a Division 1 intercollegiate Softball program
