Head Properties Person
About The Position
Major Broadway theatre owner-operator is seeking a Head Properties Person to join our theatre operations staff. This position will be placed primarily at one of our nine theatres, though occasional work at other Nederlander theatres may be available. Properties Persons are integral members of our collaborative, respectful, and driven staffs. Requirements
- Enthusiastic and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proactive and effective time and people management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb flights of stairs and stand for the duration of a shift of approximately 4-8 hours
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to follow health and safety standards and protocols
- Must be able to effectively schedule and lead a team
- This is a union affiliated position
- OSHA 30 and SST-10 Certification
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Holiday availability is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the load in and load out of productions
- Maintenance of seats in the auditorium
- Moving items around the building
- Managing crew
- Construction and maintenance of items for productions and building
- General theatre upkeep
