Head of Technology
About The Position
OneRoyal is seeking an experienced Head of Technology to lead our global Technology function and define the company’s technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap. This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end responsibility across IT & Infrastructure, IT Support, Software Development & Engineering, Cybersecurity, DevOps, Technology Architecture, APIs & Integrations, and technical platforms. The successful candidate will combine strong technology leadership with technical depth and will be responsible for building a secure, scalable, resilient technology environment that supports OneRoyal’s global trading business, digital transformation, and future growth.
Requirements
- 8+ years of senior technology leadership experience, ideally as CTO, Head of Technology, VP Engineering, Technology Director, or equivalent
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technology teams across Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Architecture, and/or IT Operations
- Strong background in software engineering, technology architecture, cloud infrastructure, APIs/integrations, databases, and high-availability systems
- Experience within Financial Services, FinTech, online trading, payments, or another regulated technology environment
- Knowledge of Forex/CFD trading technology, MT4/MT5, cTrader, FIX APIs, liquidity/execution infrastructure, or similar technologies is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, technology risk, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Proven experience leading digital transformation and technology modernization initiatives
- Strong people leadership, commercial awareness, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to operate at both strategic and technical levels, translating business needs into scalable technology solutions
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Forex/CFD trading technology, MT4/MT5, cTrader, FIX APIs, liquidity/execution infrastructure, or similar technologies is a strong advantage
Responsibilities
- Define and execute OneRoyal’s technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap
- Lead the overall Technology function across Engineering, IT & Infrastructure, IT Support, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Integrations
- Assess and develop the Technology team structure, capabilities, resources, and operating model
- Own technical architecture and standards across trading platforms, CRM, client applications, APIs, data platforms, and internal systems
- Oversee trading and financial technology integrations, including MT4/MT5, cTrader, liquidity providers, FIX/API connectivity, payments, and third-party platforms
- Ensure the security, availability, scalability, performance, and resilience of critical systems and infrastructure
- Establish strong development, testing, CI/CD, release, change, incident, and technology governance practices
- Lead cybersecurity, technology risk, access controls, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities
- Provide technical leadership across major digital transformation, automation/AI, data/BI, CRM, mobile, and integration initiatives
- Partner closely with Product, with Product defining the “what and why” and Technology owning the technical “how.”
- Manage technology vendors, budgets, investments, resources, and strategic partnerships
- Build and mentor a high-performing Technology organization and establish clear KPIs, SLAs, accountability, and performance standards
