About The Position

This role will serve as the accounting governance leader for the organization, responsible for ensuring the company can successfully scale through acquisitions, international expansion, and future capital market readiness while maintaining accounting integrity, financial governance, and strong internal controls. The position combines leadership in technical accounting, accounting policy, acquisition accounting, treasury oversight, and tax governance. It is a highly visible role that partners closely with executive leadership, external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and cross-functional business leaders. Specific goals for this position are centered around creating strong accounting governance framework supporting continued growth and acquisitions; ensuring clean audit results and effective accounting integration of acquired businesses; maintaining well-documented accounting positions for complex transactions and scalable policies and controls supporting future organizational growth; and effective oversight of treasury and tax governance activities.

Requirements

• CPA designation
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in a senior leadership role with a public company or a late-stage PE-backed private company
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP with significant experience with ASC 606 and ASC 805

Nice To Haves

• Mix of Big-4 or equivalent global audit firm and corporate accounting experience strongly preferred
• SaaS or subscription business experience
• Experience supporting acquisitions and business integrations

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounting Governance
• Serve as the company’s primary authority on accounting policies, technical accounting matters and governance frameworks
• Evaluate complex transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment
• Advise executive leadership on accounting implications of strategic initiatives
• Drive annual audits process and transaction-related review
• Lead technical accounting discussions with external auditors
• Prepare accounting position papers and technical memoranda
• Drive Acquisition Accounting
• Partner with Corporate Development, Finance Transformation, and Accounting teams to support accounting diligence efforts, assess accounting and reporting risks, lead purchase accounting activities, coordinate valuation specialists and external advisors, establish opening balance sheets, and guide accounting integration decisions.
• Lead Tax Governance and Treasury Oversight
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and serve as internal owner for tax governance, planning and audit support
• Oversee liquidity management and cash governance
• Manage banking relationships
• Support debt covenant compliance
• Review cash forecasting and liquidity planning
• Partner on financing activities and lender reporting
