Head of Strategic Finance

FlamingoNew York, NY

About The Position

This is a new role on the Mammoth Brands finance leadership team, based in New York City. Reporting directly to the Mammoth Brands CFO, Jeff Lipkin, this person will serve as a trusted partner across some of our most important financial decisions — from capital markets and financing and M&A execution to external investor positioning/story telling, Board material generation along with driving ad hoc Mammoth Brands CEO-driven growth initiatives. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance and strategy: equally comfortable building a detailed financial model and presenting to a board, managing investment banking relationships and drafting an S-1. You will help shape how Mammoth Brands tells its financial story externally, execute transactions end to end, and support the company’s path toward becoming a publicly-listed company. We are looking for a candidate with deep technical finance expertise, strong judgment, and the ownership mentality to operate with significant autonomy in a high-stakes environment — with ambitions to grow and expand into a larger leadership role over time. This person is not afraid to roll up their sleeves when necessary.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development
  • Deep expertise in M&A execution, financial modeling, and transaction structuring
  • Wide ranging transaction experience
  • Worked on equity raises, debt financings, and/or IPO preparation, including hands-on experience with S-1 drafting and external financing documents
  • Owned investor-facing materials — management presentations, investor decks, positioning documents — and are comfortable translating complex financial analysis into clear executive narratives
  • Work well on cross functional projects and are comfortable operating at the CFO and CEO level on a daily basis
  • Operate almost entirely independently — you spot gaps, preempt problems, and drive work from idea to execution without being asked
  • Set strategy and get buy-in on big decisions
  • Scope work that has company-wide implications, execute at a high level of quality and speed
  • Navigate complex, ambiguous situations with calm and focus
  • Take calculated risks and build new approaches when things don’t go as planned
  • Share a POV when you have one and know when to listen
  • Give and receive feedback openly, in all directions, and demonstrate genuine trust and respect for cross-functional partners
  • Based in New York City (or willing to relocate)
  • In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at our SoHo headquarters
